We’re looking for a chartered building surveyor to join our award-winning team. The ideal candidate would be at least five years PQE, driven, proactive, good common sense, commercially minded.

The Role:

Main responsibilities include:

Planning and overseeing building work on a range of projects up to £10 million;
Project management of multidisciplinary teams;
Working knowledge of the JCT suite of contracts and experience in administering;
Working knowledge of MS Project;
Contract administration;
Advising clients about building/property issues, which can include technical, financial, legal, environmental/sustainability, building regulation and restoration matters;
Undertaking building surveys;
Advice on defect diagnostics (predominantly commercial properties) and repair work;
Produce budget cost plans for proposed works;
Preparation of schedules of works; and
Preparation of schedule of dilapidations and negotiating on be behalf of Landlord and Tenant.

Skills required:

Candidate Requirements:
MRICS 5 years PQE
Working knowledge of the JCT suite of contracts and experience in administering;
Experience in the commercial sector;
Good client facing skills with an ability/potential to generate as well as deliver business;
Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to a high standard;
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle;
Well organised, efficient, using initiative and working to tight deadlines; and
Confidence and determination to get the job done striving at all times to exceed the client’s expectations.
