Dropping the property and picking up the momentum…OBI
Joe Averill | 02 July 2018We are evolving…
This is a very exciting time for OBI. Our clients have become the focal point of our innovation. Our vested interest in our clients has seen us become a business that is delivering value beyond real estate. We’ve therefore decided, as momentum builds in everything we’re doing, to re-brand and drop the ‘property’ from our branding, rather than let that word define too narrowly what we do.
OBI are continuing to reinvent ourselves as we strive to be at the forefront of innovation and evolving technology. As you’re probably aware, there’s a lot of talk about ‘innovators’ and ‘disruptors’ out there, but some are just talking about it and others are actually doing it. We’ve always put ourselves in the latter bracket to enhance our proposition and add further value to clients.
Here’s how we’ve evolved:
Green screen video studio
Video content has been at the core of our ability to market products, assets and tell their stories. We’ve subsequently implemented a green screen studio to deliver high end content and marketing initiatives. We’ve created a number of different content streams which allows our clients to tell their story and promote their brand through video and our social channels.
Co-working space & investment
Our shared space within our Manchester office is for clients to use as a touchpoint and is also utilised by a number of tech start-ups. In the last year, we’ve made our first investment into Revere – a virtual & augmented reality platform. We have a strong infrastructure both in relation to our network and in-house capabilities to scale these businesses rapidly.
Calico
Keep your eyes peeled! Calico is the latest technology platform being implemented at OBI. It is a tailored social network for executives and decision makers. Calico demands high quality content from members to provide value to one another through thought-leadership and market insights, looking to connect leaders and encourage collaboration and innovation. We will be launching soon – if this is of interest please get in touch…it promises to be a very valuable network!
obi journal
You may have received issue 2 of our obi journal recently. This captures all things Manchester from fashion, art, tech, development, bars, restaurants and much more. The overarching goal is to provide intelligence and insight into the Manchester business community, into what makes the city tick and highlights some of the key stories behind Manchester’s growth. Keep an eye out for issue 3 coming later this year.
Events
Our events have been created to provide a platform for our clients to promote their business, provide market insights and also discuss their challenges within their respective industries. The programme of OBI events is always evolving, with the most recent to be staged being Workplace Revolution, articulating changing attitudes to the workplace and what it means for business.
