Hay Group moves to The Chancery, Spring Gardens, Manchester
16 May 2014Today OBI Property announced Hay Group has moved its Manchester office to The Chancery, 58 Spring Gardens, Manchester, from Cotton House on Queen Street. The global management consulting firm is taking 3,274 sq ft on the third floor on a 10 year lease with a break at year five.
Hay Group, which employs 28 people in its Manchester office, has decided to move due to reaching the full term of its contract. It wanted to improve the services offered to its clients and staff. The firm has four offices across the UK and employs over 330 people nationally.
Barry Harrison-Mullet, Facilities Manager, Hay Group said: “We’re very pleased to be moving into The Chancery, it’s a fantastic building. We needed to move into larger offices to accommodate our increasing team and clients.”
OBI Property represented the landlord of The Chancery, Aberdeen Asset Management and has also recently designed and project managed a refurbishment of the common areas of the building including the lifts, lift lobbies, toilets and shower facilities.
Richard Lace, associate director, OBI Property said: “Hay Group is the third new occupier to move to The Chancery in the last six months, following on from the arrival of Sanderson Weatherall and Atradius earlier this year. The Landlord has now committed to refurbish the 7th floor in the building, providing 5,773 sq ft of Grade ‘A’ refurbished space which will allow us to continue to capitalise on the improving sentiment within the city centre market.”
