Today OBI Property announced specialist social work and social care recruitment company Liquid Personnel is to take 10,129 sq ft at the recently refurbished Sevendale House on Dale Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. The company has signed a five year lease for the space on the first floor of the building.
Liquid Personnel appointed OBI to advise on the acquisition of the space; this follows OBI assisting with the relocation of Liquid Personnel 3 years ago to 52 Princess Street.
This deal is the culmination of a fantastic few months for Philip J Davies Holdings who have leased over 37,500 sq ft of office space since the building was launched in September 2014.
Liquid Personnel, which was voted the fourth best place to work in the UK last year, employs 85 staff and is moving from 52 Princess Street as the company is expanding and requires a larger office.
David Hickey, Operation Director, Liquid Personnel said: “Sevendale House is exactly the right fit for our business and the team. It’s in a great location and the inspirational workspace will provide the perfect platform to support the continued growth of the business. Everyone at Liquid Personnel is excited about the move and the benefits it will bring.”
The £6 million refurbishment of Grade II Listed Sevendale House was completed in September last year, providing 65,000 sq ft of workspace and 15,000 sq ft of retail space. Ticketmaster was confirmed as the first tenant in October 2014, taking 22,765 sq ft for its new northern HQ.
Mark Davies, director of Philip J Davies Holdings the owners of Sevendale House, said: “We are delighted to welcome Liquid Personnel to Sevendale House. It’s a great start to the year for us. Since we launched the bulding we have let 60% of the office space and we have strong interest in a large proportion of the remainder which is a testament to the quality and location of the building.”
Will Lewis, director, OBI Property said: “Liquid Personnel were keen to find space which energised their team and reflected the culture of the business. They never wanted a boring conventional office. Our workplace consultancy team are now designing the new office which will reflect the young and energetic vibe of the company. It’s a great testament to OBI that Liquid Personnel have appointed us again to run the relocation and fit-out process and it’s been great seeing their business grow from strength to strength.”
Daniel Harris & Co acted on behalf of the landlord, Philip J Davies Holdings. OBI will project manage Liquid Personnel fit-out.
OBI Property was set up in 2010 and is a commercial real estate firm which provides innovative solutions to its landlord and occupier clients.
