National law firm McGrigors is moving to No 1 The Avenue in Spinningfields in a major investment in its future growth in Manchester.  The move comes as more good news for the city’s prime financial and professional services district following Investec and Lambert Smith Hampton’s  recent decision to relocate there.

The firm’s new office space consists of circa 11,000 sq ft arranged over two floors with a 3,000 sq ft client suite and the move will take place in March 2011.

OBI Property LLP acted as property advisor to McGrigors on the deal and has now been instructed to procure and project manage the fit out at the new premises.Peter Blackmore, Head of McGrigors’ Manchester office, comments: “The exponential growth of our office has resulted in this investment.   It demonstrates beyond any doubt McGrigors’ commitment to Manchester and the North West as a place to do business.”

Will Lewis of OBI Property concludes: “This is one of Manchester’s most iconic office buildings and we are pleased to be so involved in this major move which demonstrates the breadth of our property skills from our leasing expertise through to building consultancy.

“We are also delighted to add that this is the third major deal we have advised upon at Spinningfields this year.”
