OBI Property is delighted to announce the largest office letting in Manchester city centre for some time with online car rental agency Traveljigsaw signing up for new offices at Sunlight House on the edge of Spinningfields.
Traveljigsaw has taken more than 63,000 sq ft at Sunlight House on Quay Street.
Will Lewis of OBI Property who advised the landlords of the building said “this is a significant deal for the regional office markets and confirms that large floor plates are still appealing to the larger occupiers. Sunlight House provides a great working environment with views over Manchester and the efficiency of the floors was a key factor in Traveljigsaw deciding to relocate to the building. There was much competition within the marketplace and I am delighted we secured this letting which will see four floors being refurbished to a Grade A standard.”
Sunlight House, which is owned by Aviva within the Apia Regional Office Fund, has also let a total of 5,000 sq ft to The Industrial Tomography Systems, Romero Insurance and Football for Football.
Existing occupiers St James’s Place Wealth Management and Charles Stanley Group have renewed their leases.
Charlie Royle, asset manager for Apia, said: “These transactions are testament to the building’s central location and quality of accommodation. Our proactive asset management strategy, with improving facilities and refurbishment of several floors, has enabled us to attract new occupiers in spite of challenging market conditions.”
