Manchester-based artificial intelligence (AI) company, Peak, has taken residency of the top floor of Neo, Bruntwood’s iconic £8m redevelopment in Manchester City Centre.
The move, which follows £3.5m of investment and marks the next stage of Peak’s scale-up plans, sees the company relocate its headquarters to the 4,500 sq ft 12th floor, with 360° views of Manchester.
Peak have created a space centred around the idea of flexible working, while encouraging social interaction, productivity and collaboration.
There are no assigned desks and staff work in an agile approach with access to a variety of spaces, including a large seamless communal desk, a social and events space, meeting rooms and pods for solo work or private discussions.
Discussing the reason behind the move and the new design, Richard Potter, Peak’s CEO, explained:
“Thoughtful office design is vitally important to the success of any organisation. For us, it’s the physical embodiment of the values and culture that permeate through Peak. Being on the top floor of Neo is amazing. We’re surrounded by inspiring views of the city we were founded in and the huge amount of natural light gives us extra energy and helps maximise productivity. Most importantly, it’s somewhere staff and customers want to come to, stay in and return to. We see our new HQ as somewhere that can help us attract and retain the best talent to join our team and great new clients alike.”
OBI Property advised Bruntwood on the deal.
Bradley Topps, Head of Sales for Bruntwood, Manchester, said: “Peak’s move into Neo is great news for the building and shows the appetite of fast growing, technology-based businesses to have a statement address in the heart of the city. Neo is now 98% full and we will be making other exciting new customer announcements soon.”
Debbie Meredith, Transactions and Asset Management, OBI Property said: “Peak’s move into Neo is further illustration of the strength of the Manchester office market, especially with the ever-growing tech sector. The 12th floor at Neo is a space that fits with Peak’s ethos perfectly and it is great to welcome them into the building”.
