Dentsu opens modern Manchester Hub in Enterprise City

10 June 2023

Multinational media and digital marketing company, Dentsu International, has acquired 15,500 sq ft of fitted and furnished workspace from Department on level 6 of Bonded Warehouse in Manchester’s Enterprise City.

The move marks an exciting new chapter for the company as it joins the innovative new community at the heart of the city’s media, creative and tech industries.

This growing neighbourhood within Manchester city centre is an award-winning district for occupiers from the Tech, Media, and Creative sectors. This new district brings together unique workspace, leisure, cultural buildings, studios, and city centre living in a game changing district for the city.

The modern warehouse space is deliberately designed to foster collaboration and innovation and dentsu is bringing together people from across the network’s central teams and its agencies – including Carat, iProspect, dentsu X, Merkle and Dentsu Creative.

The relocation follows over 25 years on Portland Street and represents dentsu’s dedication to flexible, hybrid ways of working which are enabling its people, clients, and partners to enjoy brand new, state of the art facilities, including a recording studio, café, restaurant, cinema room, gym and more.

The new space is powered by 100% renewable energy, in line with dentsu’s commitment to future-proof its energy strategy and accelerate delivery of its Net Zero ambitions. Dentsu was the first in the industry to achieve RE100 status, operating globally on 100% renewable energy and one of the first seven companies in the world to have its net-zero target verified by the SBTi, setting a benchmark for corporate net zero commitments.

Dentsu will join current tenants of Enterprise City, which include Booking.com, WPP, PEAK AI and Cloud Imperium Games who have created inspiring workspaces supported by a wide range of amenity and a like-minded community.

Angela Tangas, dentsu UK&I CEO said: “We’re incredibly proud to build on our strong heritage in Manchester and come together as part of Enterprise City’s booming, modern industry community – demonstrating our ongoing commitment to diversity and building on our deep local expertise.

“As a people-centred business, we remain committed to flexible, hybrid ways of working and creating environments where everyone can thrive. The new space provides an exceptional collaboration space, that’s environmentally friendly where any, and all members of our teams, clients and partners can have a great experience.”

Andrew Cowell, Transactions and Asset Management at OBI, said: “To attract the Dentsu brand and name to Enterprise City is fantastic news. They are a great addition to this new creative neighbourhood and Bonded Warehouse will be the perfect place for Dentsu to bring their teams together in a stunning character building that is fully of amenity. Bonded Warehouse and Enterprise City is the blueprint for a new type of workplace.”
